Since the average American knows Israel not for its 2 million Arabs most of whom living in a democracy with opportunity, but for Israel being bombed every four or so years and Arabs and Jews killings outside of Israel in the West Bank, I enclose a wonderful article about Mana Khory Kassabiri for a poor one in Haifa, Israel.
You’ll rarely if ever see this in the New York Times because it doesn’t conform its narrative to make Israel a special pariah in a world of Myanmar, Syria, Iran, China, Congo, Mexico and 50 other countries where deaths per population and imprisonments with due process are rampant.
If you are bombed, you fight back. In San Diego we would bomb the lawmakers and the leaders. If those leaders put children next to launchers there are casualties. While you look at it from safe homes, Israels look at it as an existence. Gaza has no Jews which is as wrong as California having no Jews. It has no reason to bomb Israel civilians to cause terror and make Jews like your imprimatur on Israel haters.
