Opinions on President Trump

President Trump with all the craziness is a very hard worker. He uses toughness and unpredictability to attain substance. Perhaps no nukes in Korean Peninsula. Perhaps more favorable trade agreements. Les technology theft. Secure Southern border like New York.

My old Democratic Party of Kennedy, Truman, Roosevelt are different – they hate him, all they do is attack him. But can you imagine Obama or Clinton achieving what he has for American business, labor, North Korea, Iran. Yes long term debt and interest thereon is a big issue. But lowering taxes now I just hope he rethinks environment and does what he self-servingly did near Mar A Lago, bans offshore drilling off the Pacific, and in parts of Alaska now open.

On Trump and Climate Change

I like substantially what Trump has done so far. I was a Kasich supporter but I give the President credit.

However, man made significant climate change denier or not, Why “Paris Accords” was important, I feel is that leaving it serves as a message to polluters, poachers, water cleanliness destroyers. Brown bear killers in Romania, to plunderers of forests in Poland and Indonesia. It’s the wrong message. It’s “the US doesn’t care.”

Opinions on Lowering Taxes

Lowering taxes like lowering rent is good for profits, thus expansion hopefully in hiring. But the downside is bigger annual debt adding to long term deficit (now $20 trillion), resulting in government as a borrower facing rising interest to get funds, causing real estate developers and other borrowers to pay higher interest, reducing profits or hurting deals.

We’ll see.

Saudi Prince’s Recognition of Israel Makes All The Difference

I think the new Saudi Prince’s Mohammed’s recognition of Israel makes all the difference. Muslims in Europe and in Suni Middle East will not automatically sympathize with Palestinians or knee jerk vote for every resolution in UN condemning Israel. Thank Mayor Bloomberg, Jared Kushner, Hollywood Jewish filmmakers and even Howard Schulz at Starbucks for being great hosts to him.
